Christopher Boog is a Vice-Chair of the International Arbitration Practice Group and co-heads the Sports Practice. He represents clients in complex international commercial, investment and sports arbitration matters as well as in setting-aside proceedings before the Swiss Supreme Court.

Chris is ranked as one of a small number of Global Elite Thought Leaders by Who's Who Legal Arbitration recognizing lawyers "at the peak of the profession". He is the 2020 recipient of the ASA Prize for Advocacy in International Commercial Arbitration, awarded every two years to international arbitration counsel to recognize exceptional advocacy in international arbitration. Michael Cartier represents parties in international arbitrations under all major institutional rules and in ad-hoc proceedings, before state courts and in enforcement and legal assistance matters. He is listed as an expert for arbitration in Who's Who Legal 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023. He also acts as arbitrator and is listed on the panel of arbitrators of the ICC National Committee (Switzerland), the Korean Commercial Arbitration Board (KCAB International), the Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC), and the Dubai International Arbitration Centre (DIAC). The focus of his work is on construction disputes, international commercial law and M&A disputes. He has substantial subject-matter experience in energy-related matters (solar cell manufacturing, wind turbine engineering, peat and coal firing power plants, gas delivery, disposal of radioactive waste). He also advises clients in white-collar criminal law matters and corporate investigations as well as cross-border insolvency matters.

Born in 1978, Michael Cartier attended St. Gall University (lic. iur. HSG 2001, Dr. iur. 2007). During his studies he spent a year in Japan studying Japanese and working for a Japanese trading company. He clerked at the District Court of Ober-/Neutoggenburg (Canton St. Gall) and the Department of Construction, Energy and Environment of the Canton Appenzell Ausserrhoden, and has been practicing law in Zurich since 2004.

Michael Cartier’s professional languages are English and German. He also speaks French and some Japanese. He is registered with the Zurich Bar Registry and admitted to practise throughout Switzerland. He is also a Registered Foreign Lawyer before the Singapore International Commercial Court.

Felix Dasser is President of the Swiss Arbitration Association since 2020. He is a senior member and former head of the dispute resolution practice of Swiss firm Homburger. He has more than 30 years of experience with a focus on litigating and arbitrating international commercial disputes. He sits as arbitrator and acts as counsel in arbitral proceedings under various arbitration rules.
Felix Dasser is also an adjunct professor at the University of Zurich, and is often retained as expert on Swiss substantive and procedural law. He taught e.g. at the Hague Academy of International Law and is a visiting professor at the China University of Political Science and Law on international commercial arbitration. He studied law at the University of Zurich (PhD 1989 s.c.l.) and at the Harvard Law School (LL.M. '90).

KOH Swee Yen, Senior Counsel, is the Head of the International Arbitration Practice and a Partner in the Commercial & Corporate Disputes and Commodities & International Trade Practices.

Her practice has a particular focus on complex, high-value and multi-jurisdictional disputes involving asset recovery, commodities, energy, fraud, infrastructure, international trade, joint ventures, transport and technology. She regularly appears before the Singapore Courts (including the Singapore International Commercial Court) and in international commercial and investment arbitrations under the major institutional rules, including ICSID, ICC, ICDR, LCIA, SIAC, and UNCITRAL. She is admitted to the Roll of Solicitors of England & Wales and also has rights of audience before the DIFC Courts.

Swee Yen is the Co-Chair of the IPBA Dispute Resolution and Arbitration Committee, and a member of the ICCA-ASIL Task Force on Damages. She was the former Vice-Chair of the IBA Arbitration Committee, and was also on the Editorial Board of the ICC Dispute Resolution Bulletin. She is currently a Board member of the Swiss Arbitration Association, and a member of the LCIA Asia Pacific Users’ Council. She has sat as an arbitrator in HKIAC, ICC, LCIA and SIAC administered arbitrations, and is on the Panel of Arbitrators of the AIAC, BICAM, HKIAC, KCAB and SIAC. She is a member of the Governing Board for the Centre of International Law, NUS, and the President of the Singapore branch of the International Law Association. She has also been appointed to the Executive Committee of the Foundation for International Arbitration Advocacy

Julie Raneda, FCIArb, is a partner in Schellenberg Wittmer's international arbitration practice and the managing director of the Singapore office. She represents clients in international commercial and investment arbitration matters.

Julie has been involved as counsel and arbitrator in complex arbitrations seated in civil and common law jurisdictions under different laws and various arbitration rules (in particular ICC, SIAC, SCAI, UNCITRAL, CAS, VIAC). Her main areas of expertise include construction and engineering, energy, pharmaceutical/life sciences, fintech, distribution, manufacturing and international sales. She also advises clients on international trade sanctions.

Julie is the chair of the Swiss Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Singapore (SwissCham Singapore) and the co-chair of the ASA Asia chapter. Julie is also a member of the ICC Singapore Group (Empowerment Sub-Committee) and a member of HKIAC Proceedings Committee. She sits on the Faculty of the Delos ROAP (Remote Oral Advocacy Programme) Asia and is the co-founder of the Women's Business Society established in Geneva in 2012. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb).

Ms. Takahata has significant experience and expertise both in M&A and corporate law transactions and disputes resolution practices. She has more than 20 years of experience serving as a senior counsel and/or general counsel at multinational investment banks and corporations advising on cross-border transactions as well as international arbitration, with particular expertise as a general counsel of Japanese companies and their U.S. and European subsidiaries on their investments and investment-related disputes around the world.
Formerly, she was in-house counsel for Morgan Stanley and Deutsche Bank, advising on matters involving investment banking, capital markets, M&A and corporate finance transactions, banking and securities compliance, and various issues involving financial institutions.

She has also committed to the international arbitration community and, was appointed as a member of the Legislative Council for the amendment of the arbitration law of Japan. She serves as an Advisory Board member of the Japan International Dispute Resolution Center (JIDRC) and a Users’ Council member of the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC).

Prior to going in-house, she practiced corporate, M&A, real-estate finance, labour laws and internal investigations at Ushijima& Partners where she advised Japan- and foreign-based clients on cross-border investment transactions and matters related to corporate reorganization and restructuring.

Urs Zenhäusern practices mainly in the areas of international arbitration and litigation. He is a frequent writer and speaker at seminars on litigation and arbitration law, as well as intellectual property law topics. He has also been appointed as lecturer at the University of Fribourg and the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich, and for the MBA Post-Graduate Program at the University of St. Gallen.
